Chris D. Lee

America has always stood as a nation that reaches out to help others build their own freedom and self-determination. Chris D. Lee is one of the hundreds of millions of people whose lives changed because America opened its doors. After surviving war, hunger, and destruction in Korea, he came to the United States with nothing but hope, faith, and a belief that hard work could rewrite his future. Here, he raised four children who became responsible adults, good parents, and contributors to the nation he calls home. That, to him, is what America wants to see—families who work hard, respect others, and strengthen the country they live in.

“Incheon to Vietnam” shows how even one person among 350 million Americans can be grateful, loyal, and proud to be part of this country. Chris Lee’s observations of the Vietnam War are straightforward, logical, and honest, shaped not by politics but by lived experience. His life proves his simple truth: Education = Better Life—a message that applies not only in America, but everywhere in the world.

People everywhere want better lives, yet history has shown how dangerous misguided education can be. One gunshot can destroy decades of love, sacrifice, and parental effort. Now in his 80s, Chris Lee uses his story to remind humanity that knowledge should build, not destroy; that wisdom should be shared, not weaponized; and that we must never allow another tyrant to rise from hatred and ignorance.
